Phillips - Pressley Is Doing A Difficult Job

Former Coventry City midfielder/defender David Phillips feels that Steven Pressley is doing a difficult job.

Phillips, who was the guest of the Coventry City Former Players Association for the Scunthorpe United game and match summariser for BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, told Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph: “He’s a passionate man and sticking to his principles.

“What sort of money has he had to go and buy players? Has he had £300,000 or £400,000 to go and buy anyone? The answer is no.

"He’s had to use the loan market and free transfers and all these managers in the lower divisions are in the same boat and it’s very difficult. But that’s the nature of the business at this moment in time.”
