Forest Green Rovers boss Ady Pennock has said that he hopes Chris Stokes will sign for Coventry City.
Stokes was due to play for City U21's vesus Huddersfield Town so Steven Pressley could get another look at him in a competitive match situation but the match was called off due to a water-logged pitch at the Ricoh Arena.
Pennock is quoted by the Coventry Telegraph as saying: : “It’s a shame the game was called off but hopefully he’s done enough in training to earn a contract there.
“Let’s keep our fingers crossed for him because it’s a fantastic club and it’s a step up for him and we’re hoping that’s going to happen.”
