Coventry City youngster Adam Walker has gone one better than his dad Rick.

Rick Walker signed pro forms with City on the same day as the Sky Blues signed Jim Holton and played for City Reserves making over 50 appearances for the side in the Central League

He played with City greats such as Terry Yorath and once marked David "Super Sub " Fairclough at Anfield.

However, before he could make a first team appearance for the Sky Blues, Rick was transfered to Northampton Town on a free transfer

The defender made his Northampton debut as a sub in 78-79 in a 1-1 home draw with Hartlepool and played 13 games that season mainly as a full back.

He became a regular in 79-80 and played 38 times. In 1980-81 only played twice and was given a free transfer.

His son Adam, who has been at City since he was eight, made his first team debut in the 2-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday and was a 74th minute substitute against Charlton Athletic on April 13th.
