Not A Bad Set of Fixtures

The fixture list was reasonably kind to Coventry City and its long suffering supporters this morning when it was announced by the Football League.

Thankfully, the league have played ball and all of City's three trips to the seaside (Fleetwood, Blackpool and Southend), this season are on a Saturday.

Two midweek away trips to Rochdale, plus the Tuesday night trip to Bradford City, are a bit of a pain for those living in the Coventry & Warwickshire and not helped by long sections of the M1 having speed restrictions, However, they are far more preferable to a night game somewhere like Gillingham where one has to contend with the M25 traffic.

Christmas and New Year which see away games at Chesterfield and Crewe are pretty reasonable as is the Easter game away to Peterborough United, which may get moved to a Friday and a home game on Easter Monday.

Obviously, the fixture list will change over the coming months due to the demands of television and cup committments for either City or their opponents but by and large, this set of fixtures are not bad at all for City supporters.
