Northampton Town Chairman David Cardoza admitted to having no regrets over allowing Coventry City to rent the Sixfields Stadium for their first team matches.

Speaking at a Fans Forum on Thursday night, Mr Cardoza said that he had no regrets over doing a deal with Tim Fisher to rent out the stadium which is due for re-development thanks to a Northamptonshire County Council loan of £7.5m for the stadium and £4.5m for a hotel which is likely to be a hotel.

The Northampton Town Chairman is quoted as also saying that "City's owners had paid their rent on time, sometimes even early."
