According to the Coventry Observer's Steve Carpenter, there will be no more deals done tonight.
Mr Carpenter tweeted "The #SkyBlues have officially stepped down for the evening - a deal to bring in another Champs player will be pursued in the coming days."
Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph said: "I understand City have been unable to get a third deadline day target - believed to be a central midfielder - over the line tonight but the player in question is understood to be a free agent and, therefore, someone the club can pursue over the coming days."
