Nicholls Delighted With Five Goal Romp

Coventry City Ladies manager Craig Nicholls was delighted with his team's 5-1 win at Preston North End Women on Sunday in a WPL Northern Division fixture.

Speaking to Matty Roper, Nicholls said: "It's been a difficult week for me personally, but to get two away wins in the space of four days is fantastic. We faced two different tests, with the Albion game being a much tighter affair, but six points from six this week is a credit to the girls."

"Today we were superb going forward and created chances in abundance, and we looked defensively solid at the back too apart from the goal which we are disappointed about. Plenty of positives to take though going in to next week, and the squad is becoming consistent in terms of players."

Midfielder, Callan Barber, who enjoyed a very productive game in the middle of the park also said: "We were great going forward today and it's great to see us taking chances, but there is always room for improvement and we are disappointed to concede the goal in the manner we did. Overall it was a very confident performance though, and there is plenty to build on for next week."
