Next Couple Of Days For Armstrong Deal - Mowbray

Last updated : 11 January 2016 By CNS Staff

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that hopefully, a deal to keep Adam Armstrong on loan at Coventry City from Newcastle United can be done in the next couple of days.

Mowbray told Keiran Crowley: "It’s looking pretty hopeful, one or two things need to be ratified but I’d be pretty disappointed if it didn’t happen now.

"Hopefully in the next day or two. There are still a few things to iron out and get through and it's just about making sure it gets over the line at this stage.

"Mark Venus is dealing with that and we’re very hopeful in the face of what I would have to say is a lot of competition from Championship clubs offering to pay a lot of money for his services.”
