Coventry City have been forced to appoint a new Fitness Coach.

They lost Mark Howard who has joined Fulham and have appointed Ulsterman Andy O'Boyle, formerly at relegated Wrexham.

"We are delighted to get Andy on board," said John Murtough to the CT before the team left for Austria.

"He comes with a great CV. He has a first class honours degree in sports science, has worked for Manchester United's academy and was at Wrexham last season.

"His practical understanding of the game coupled with his sports science knowledge make him ideal for the job."

City chairman Ray Ranson added: "We are disappointed but he has joined Fulham where he will be working with his former colleagues from Bolton.

"And it shows the quality staff that we have got here at Coventry that Mark is another one wanted by a Premier League club."
