Contrary to earlier advice that it would occur two days previously on October 1st, the Coventry City Former Players Association have now just been informed that the re-arranged date for the Memorial Service/Celebration for the late Sky Blues legend Ernie Machin will be definitely Wednesday 3rd October 2012 commencing at 3pm.
The memorial will take place as originally planned in the inspiring surroundings of Coventry Cathedral (and the change is made after consultation with the Cathedral authorities).
All Ernie’s firend and fans are welcome and we encourage all CCFPA members to attend.
The Memorial was originally moved from Wednesday 26th September to accommodate fans wishing to go to CCFC’s Capital One Cup tie with Arsenal at the Emirates in London the same evening.
