Former Coventry City loanee Duckens Nazon has signed for St Mirren.

The striker, who is a regular international for Haiti, has been playing in Belgium for Sint-Truiden.

Duckens, who scored fourteen goals for City whilst on loan from Wolves, has joined St Mirren on loan for the rest of the season and teams up with another former City player in Simeon Jackson. .

St Mirren manager Oran Kearney said to his club's website: "I think all supporters have been crying out for someone who will play that number nine role. He has really good qualities, carrying the ball and physically as well.

"He is very powerful and we have probably lacked that physical presence up-front to help Simeon Jackson and others who have played up there. We feel like getting someone like Duckens on board will be a massive help.

"We’ve done a huge amount of work on it. It’s been very much one of patience and we have said all along that we would rather wait to try and get the right players in than sign for the sake of signing.

"There’s a hunger from him to get over and get playing again. He is a Haiti international but has lived and played in England for a few years and that was important for us."

Former Coventry City midfielder Gael Bigirimana has signed for Hibernian.

The Burundi born player, had rwo spells with the Sky Blues and scored for City in the Checkatrade Trophy Final victory against Oxford United.

The midfielder has been playing for Motherwell and has joined the Edinburgh based club on an intial short term deal until the end of the season.

Bigirimana told the Hibernian club website: When I was told Hibs wanted to take me I was gobsmacked.

“We didn’t think anything was going to happen in this window, it just shows you in football you never know what can happen. “Every time I’ve played against Hibs I’ve seen some really good performances from them, some good technical players, and now I’ve got my chance to join them.

“I like to think of myself as an all-round player.

“I love playing with the ball – my strongest attribute I’d say is passing and trying to control the tempo of the game, making the other team suffer by chasing the ball.

“I can bring that composure to the team, that energy, and when it comes to doing the dirty side of the game it’s all about serving the team.”
