Mowbray: Important We Find Johnson Answer

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that it is important that the Sky Blues find a replacement for Reda Johnson who could be out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph: "Our thoughts are with Reda.

"We worked really hard to get him in the summer and the qualities he's brought to the team have been of paramount importance.

"It's important we find the answer to the loss of Reda Johnson.

"We're looking in house at the minute but then we want to find someone to bring that authority to the back line.

"The weight of the player falling on him and he was at full stretch forced the injury.

"It's one of those things, and we can't do anything about it.

"Lots of names are thrown at you when something like this happens but we want to try to get the right one.

"We're not sitting here desperately feeling we need someone now.

"Jordan Willis is almost ready to compete but if the right player is out there and we can do it we will try.

"Reda Johnson will have a period of rehabilitation and wait and see but the prognosis is it will be a lengthy process so we have to plan to be without him.

"We want great options in all areas of the pitch with good players waiting for opportunities from the bench."
