Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said he needs to be patient regarding the signing of players.

“I think the message for me is be patient," Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner.

. Wait for the right ones. Don’t rush in because once you spend the penny and give someone a contract you can’t then think you made a mistake there and go and buy another one for the same position.

“There are lots of players out there and my phone hasn’t stopped ringing. Let’s take our time, pick the right ones.

“It’s early days but the process has begun talking to agents to get a feel for what their players think, how we want to play. Do they like what we’re trying to do, what are their other options etc.

“We’re talking to people and we'll try to tie up the loose ends as we go on.”
