Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray would have preferred to be playing a Championship side but feels that City's Capital One Cup First Round tie is a good tie.

Mowbray told Keiran Crowley about the draw which sees unseeded City travel to Spotland a ground they have never won at on August 11th or 12th:  "Well, it is always good to find out that first fixture of the upcoming season as it always adds a bit of excitement to the staff, players and fans at the club.

"It is another game against League One opposition and it is important we don't disrespect the competition, or the opposition.

"Ideally, it would have been nice to get a Championship side as it is always good to play teams from other leagues but it is a good tie and one we'll look forward to."
