Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has confirmed that the buildings at City's training ground at Ryton are being done up.

Mowbray cited the poor upkeep of the facility with its broken windows etc, as something he wanted dealt with over the close season and has said that SISU have paid for the place to be smartened up.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Mowbray said: "I’ve been stepping over some paint tins. The showers and dressing rooms are being sorted.

We are not spending a fortune revamping anything but smartening up the place so it has got a fresh new feel about it when the players come back.

“I don’t expect it to be a state of the art building but just a nice tidy up really to make it fresh and ready for the new season.”
