Mowbray - City Still A Big Draw

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray feels that the Sky Blues are still a draw when it comes to attracting players to sign.

“I think the biggest attraction is the history of the club,” said Mowbray to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, “if not for the young players who weren’t around in 1987 but for the agents or parents of the players who definitely know Coventry City should be an option for them.

While my experience, career, whatever it may be, might show players that Coventry City should be competing at the other end of the table to what we have been, I’m trying to emphasise it’s a bit of a time issue because players want to stay at the top end as long as they can.

“They also have to fit into your team, fit into the way you want to play. Is he all about grit and determination or is he about skill and ability and you have to put that into the jigsaw.”
