Milton Keynes Dons, have ended their interest in Chris Camwell after being told they will have to pay if they want to sign the defender by Coventry City manager Mark Robins, according to the Milton Keynes Citizen.

The defender iwas on trial with the League Two club and played a full game for their reserve team yesterday.

Camwell, who is well down the pecking order at City, has a contract with the Sky Blues until June 30th 2021 and Robins said to the Coventry Telegraph: “He’s still training with MK Dons and I think he’s going to stay there to play in a game and then they will let us know.

“They are looking for someone to play understudy for left wing-back but it has to be right.

“It has to be right for us because they can’t just come and nick players for nothing.

“At the end of the day the lad needs to develop, there’s no doubt about it, and we have done quite a lot of work with Chris and he certainly won’t be given away for nothing.”
