Shaun Miller has said that he cannot wait to get going this season after missing much of last season.

Miller, who joined City after being released by Sheffield United told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner:

“I did my cruciate in my first season at Sheff U and was out for ten months and during that period we had two new managers and the latter adopted a new formation of playing one up front.

“He set up the team more defensive-minded to counter attack and with me coming back not 100 per cent fit and us being in the relegation zone for the first 20-odd games it was hard to enable me to get the match fitness when we desperately needed the points.

“I was out of contract and I knew there was interest from Steven Pressley quite early on and we got to a position where I was able to come for a ten-day trial and, fortunately, impressed enough to be offered a contract and I was delighted to come on board.

“Last year, because of my injury, I didn’t really have a proper season so it was nice to come in on the first day when all the lads were back to really crack on on the fitness side of things. I’m really feeling the benefits of that and I can’t wait to get going in the season now.”
