Mifsud Demanded £20k A Week

Media sources in South Yorkshire and BBC Coventry & Warwickshire are reporting that Coventry City's Michael Mifsud allegedly asked Barnsley for wages of £20,000 a week.

Mifsud has basically been told to find a new club by both Chris Coleman and Ray Ranson and was dropped for today's game at Derby County.

The clubs had agreed a fee of around £300,000 but Mifsud's asking of £20,000 a week has ensured that the deal floundered.

Mifsud is out of contract at the end of the season and unless he can find a club who will pay his wage demands before the transfer window closes on Monday, he looks to again be training at the Alan Higgs Centre and out of the first team picture.
