Paul Fletcher has said that he will resign in three years if Coventry City are not in the Premier League.

The new MD whose every move will be subject to scrutiny from shareholders and supporters told the CET: "We feel from the end of this season, that it is a realistic objective to get back to the Premier League within three years. "I feel we have got a dream team in place, but the only measurement is if we deliver. I don't think the fans would welcome anybody coming into this football club and saying they have got a big new stadium now, let's hope we get back to the Premiership in the next 10-15 years. That's not good enough.

"We have to have a realistic ambition and we have to go for it. I think that many things are in place for that. We have got a great young manager who needs some support off the field.

"We have got a fabulous stadium and we have got finances that are manageable. They are not in the best shape but they are manageable. I don't know any club that isn't in debt at present, so we have manageable finances and a wonderful opportunity. But what we need to do is capitalise on that."
