Gary McAllister has applied to become the new manager of Motherwell FC.

The Scot played for Motherwell and went on to become the Scottish captain whilst playing at a number of clubs including Leeds United, Coventry City and Liverpool.

However, his management career has not been as good. McAllister who believed in putting players in isolation, stepped down at City due to the failing health of his late wife, which was a sign of relief for many City supporters and players.

His time at Leeds United was as equally not fruitful and a few weeks after a nationally televised FA Cup exit to Non-League Histon, he was sacked.

Former Motherwell manager's include former Sky Blue Terry Butcher.
