Managerial Uncertainty Not Affecting Players

Coventry City caretaker manager Richard Shaw has said that the uncertainty over who will be the next manager is not affecting the players.

There have been questions as to why the players who have to work with a new manager on a day in, day out basis have not been given a say in who they want to replace Andy Thorn, a decision which is expected to be announced on Wednesday.

But Shaw feels the current uncertainty is not affecting the players and told the CT's Andy Turner:

“Not really but I do think the players would like to know and do need a bit of direction as to what’s happening.

“But I was a player once and I know that players usually think about themselves and I was exactly the same if truth be known. Managers come and managers go and I think players just think what’s in it for them and I can’t lie, I was the same. You always keep in touch with old managers but that’s the way players are.”
