Swedish defender Martin Lorentzson has said that he is hoping to be back playing for Coventry City in the next few weeks.

So far, the Swede has only managed forty five minutes of an U21 game before he was injured in training and speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Lorentzson said: "I’ve had a problem with my right quad, a muscle tear, but it’s starting to feel a lot better now.

“I have been running quite hard all week and doing some exercise with the ball so it’s getting better. I want to play but I don’t want to rush it and risk pulling it again, but it feels good and hopefully I can be back in the next few weeks.

“I need to get my fitness up. I came here pretty fit but I played my last game in a league at the end of July. I trained with my last team throughout the Autumn but just didn’t play any more games but I have been used to playing every game for the last five or six years, so that was hard not playing games during the Autumn season.

“It’s just annoying seeing all the guys train and I am running on the other pitch at the moment.”
