League One And Two Clubs Ok With Artificial Pitches

League One and Two clubs have voted in principal of artificial pitches being used for League matches. 

The subject of artificial pitches was debated at a divisional meetings at the Football League AGM in Faro, Portugal and clubs from Leagues One and Two indicated their 'in principle' support for the use of artificial playing surfaces in their divisions. 

The clubs then asked The Football League to provide them with further analysis of the use of such pitches before formal consideration of the matter later in the year. 

Championship clubs did not support the use of artificial pitches for matches in their division but they said that they would not object to their use in Leagues 1 and 2 or in cup competitions.
