Cov Kid Ivor Lawton was disappointed that Coventry City went out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at the first time of asking but was proud to have made his debut.

Lawton, who wore the number 24 shirt, told the club website: "Overall I'm disappointed, at the end of the day I want to win and we lost so I'm disappointed even though it's a proud moment for me and my family.

"I had a couple of nervous touches early on and I felt it was a hard game to come on in, but I'm a bit gutted but proud for my family.

"They'll still be up when I get in and they'll say that they're proud, but it's a weird feeling because we're out of the competition."
