King Gets Doyle Backing

Coventry City midfielder Michael Doyle has backed striker Marlon King to start scoring soon.
King has not featured in may of Boothroyd's team sheets since he joined Coventry following his release from prison in the summer. When he has made an appearance it has been obvious that he is far from being match fit and he is yet to score a goal for his new club in a competitive game.
With other players missing through injury, Boothroyd played King at Crystal Palace last Saturday, but King failed to find the net in a 2-0 reverse. However Doyle thinks that King has made significant progress and will soon find the net and when he does his scoring form will take off.
"Once he gets one it will be hard to stop him scoring," said Doyle, who has found himself back in the starting eleven now that Sammy Clingan is out injured, to the CT.
"Marlon got himself into some good positions against Palace and on another day he could probably have got a hat-trick, but I don't think he will let if affect him and I am sure he will be ready to go again on Saturday."
"He just needs that goal to get him off the mark but he's getting into great positions and people have found him so there is a lot to build on. He has been out a long time but he has looked sharp ever since he came in."
"When he came on against Preston in his first game everyone thought he looked really good and I think everyone expects him to waltz back in after his injury and get goal after goal, but he is just like every other player, he needs time but I think he is showing the signs."
"I think that was only his first or second full game and he's getting in there and getting chances so I am sure things will get better as a team. He has settled in well and he's hungry."
"He has been at the top end of the league and been promoted with Watford so he knows what it is all about and I think that is benefiting all the lads because he is a winner and pushing us every day, and a great team mate."
