Keogh Scores On Derby Debut

Former Coventry City defender Richard Keogh scored on his debut for Derby County.

Keogh, who only scored once for the Sky Blues during his time at Ricoh Arena, opened the scoring for Derby on the half hour mark of their League Cup tie with Scunthorpe United.

The game saw Derby leading 5-3 before the vistors scored twice to send the game into extra time. With no further goals, the match went to penalties which Scunthorpe won 7-6.

Former City forward Marlon King scored for Birmingham City in a 5-1 win over Barnet with a 38th minute penalty.

The shocks of the night saw Championship Charlton Athletic beaten by Leyton Orient on penalties, Crawley beating Millwall 4-1 on penalties, Plymouth beat Portsmouth 3-0 and Swindon beating Brighton 3-0.

The second round draw is at 12.30pm today.
