Ward began the season as third choice behind Scott Shearer and Pegguy Arphexad at Highfield Road but because of injuries to those two the 33-year-old was drafted into the side six games ago.
"Goalkeeping is all about confidence and if you’re confident usually you play well," Ward told the clubs official website.
"I’m feeling confident so I’m just enjoying it," he added.
