Former Coventry City striker Robbie Keane was a substitute for the Republic Of Ireland in their 1-1 draw with Gordon Strachan's Scotland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Keane insisted on being in the squad, despite the death of two cousins who were overcome by fumes in Dublin, and was a 73rd minute substitute coming on to the pitch to huge cheers.

Former Coventry City players Keiren Westwood, Richard Keogh, Cyrus Christie and David McGoldrick were unused substitutes.
