Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said that Jordan Clarke can push for a regular first team spot next season.

Speaking about Clarke, who will receive the Covsupport News Service Young Player Of The Year Award after today's game, the City boss said to the CT: "Jordan was doing well against Jonas Guttierrez for twenty minutes before he got injured and he didn't have any problems facing Adam Johnson when we played Middlesbrough. Ideally, he would have played fifteen games which would have given Stephen Wright more of a rest.

"He can push for a spot in the right back position next season. He's got that character and belief in himself which is a big disadvantage for a young defender because nothing fazes him - he is in good company with Wrighty and Martin Cranie but he is a good defender, as is young Grandison.

"Jermaine has one or two things he needs to brush up on. He's strong, quick, can head it and when he plays with a bit of anger and aggression, he's formidable - we just don't see anough of that.
