Coventry City's Jodi Jones has promised that he will come back stronger.

Jones, who is out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury he sustained during the 1-1 draw at Stevenage made his promise in a statement on social media.

That statement reads:

Sad! Frustrated! Devastated!

"When I woke up I thought it was just a nightmare only to realise it was all too real.

"I was angry and wished for that day back, that game, that moment. But reality gives nothing back and neither will I. I

"'m ready to move on and focus on doing everything possible to prepare for surgery, I will then focus on the recovery process day by day.

"I know I've got a long journey ahead but I will focus on the mini milestones along the way to find beauty in the struggle of doing such simple acts that prior to this injury were taken for granted.

"This will also mean that when I return, I will have a whole new perspective. I will be so appreciative of being able to stand straight, walk and run that I will train harder than ever.

"I promise you I will come back a much better and stronger person, both on and off the pitch! I can't wait to be back out there, doing what I love."
