Coventry City new defender Kevin Kilbane has said that he tried to get John Fleck to join him at Hull City last season on loan.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Kilbane, who is the son in law of Steve Harrison, said about Fleck, whom he will play on the same pitch with on Saturday when the Sky Blues travel to Hinckley United: "I was really excited when I saw the club sign those two players who have masses of quality. I actually tried to get John Fleck to Hull City last season while I was coaching.
"I spoke about him with David Weir and he highly recommended him. So I tried to get him to Hull on a loan move but he went Blackpool on loan in the end."
