New Coventry City loanee Gary Gardner admitted that he cannot wait to get started on playing for the Sky Blues.
Gardner, who is based in North Warwickshire, trained with the first team after completing his month’s loan move from Aston Villa this morning and told Sky Blue Player: "The lads, the gaffer and the assistant have all made me feel welcome and I can't wait to get playing first team football and show what I've got.
"The Villa manager told me on Saturday that he wanted me to go out on loan for a month and straight away I thought of Coventry because it is near home and I have heard that it is a great place from Lee Carsley and people like that.
"I've seen the last two results and they were unlucky against West Ham and played Cardiff and drew 1-1 and could have won.
"I have trained this morning and all the lads are top quality.
"Every time I step out on the pitch I give 110 per cent be it for Villa, the under-19s or England and if I can play first team football here I will give 110 per cent and I am sure the fans will respect my efforts.”
