I Can Understand The Supporters - Thorn

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he understands the supporters calling for SISU to end their tenure as owners.

There were protests during the game not helped by stewards and police acting under orders to remove banners and individuals and when asked by a Sky Sports reporter, who was clearly fishing for a story after the Sky Blues win against Derby County, if the protests had affected the players, Thorn, who is well aware that City supporters are calling for a change in ownership amongst other reasons due to the board's failure to properly provide him with players to strengthen the team, said: "I can understand the supporters. They have been absolutely fantastic to me and the team.

"But I felt that was the period where we took our foot off the ball. It was important that we got back on it and I'm sure that every Coventry person will go for a beer tonight as I know I will.

"The fans are always behind us. That is not an issue. It is important that we focus on the pitch and we can go on from this."
