According to The People, former Coventry City defender Hermann Hreidarsson has offered to play for Portsmouth for nothing.
Hreidarsson is without a contract after being released by City at the end of last season and the Icelander told The People's Mel Henderson: "It's really horrible to see Portsmouth in League One with all their financial problems and I want to do something.
"I will start with a one month contract and take it from there but I have made it clear that I don't want any wages."
