Coventry Sphinx manager Luke Hopkins has said that he is happy with his signings.

In an interview with Non League Daily.com, Hopkins said:  "I'm happy with where we are regarding signings. I thought last year we did well but lacked a bit of depth and a bit of experience. I know that it's a bit of a merry-go-round at this time in the year, and that's fine, but by the end of next week I hope to have the squad I want for the start of the season.

"I am pleased that Carl O'Neill and Ash Wilks have signed as I know clubs from a higher level were after them. Take in that top goalscorer Ricky Cutting, Adam Bilic, club captain Ash Jackson, and a fit again Luke Williams, who will give us options up front we didn't have last season.

"Tom Muldoon has returned, along with Jamie Coleman from Southam United and I am hope hopeful of signing two other players in the next few days.

"I have also signed youth team players Jacob Dodds, Kyle Carey, Kyle Jaynes, Callum Drake, Brad Hardwick, Jack Rooney and Ellis Layfield and all will play a part in the first-team set up this season - of that I am certain.

"We are a club who like to give young players a chance to shine. Sometimes clubs dismiss giving youth team players a chance, but why go looking for players when you have talent you can nurture on your doorstep and I would imagine that a few more of the youth team will sign first-team forms in the near future."
