Coventry City have been drawn at home to Aldershot Town in the League Cup 1st Round.

The game will take place on August 13th, the club's 125th anniversary with kick off at 7.45pm.

Aldershot are back in the Football League after fighting their way up through the non-league pyramid and winning the Conference last season. They lot their Football League status in the mid 1990's.

City's last game against Aldershot was a friendly in July 1991 when Peter Ndlovu sored on his City debut in a 2-1 win.

In 1952, City lost 4-1 at Aldershot on Boxing Dat but won 3-0 at Highfield Road, the following day.A year later, City again lost away but won at home.

That was in the Third South days and the Sky Blues continued to play each other into Division Four. That season was 58/59 and City won 7-1 at Highfied Road and 4-1 at the Recreation Ground.
