Hockaday In To Replace Darren Murray

Coventry City have appointed former Leeds United and Forest Green Rovers manager David Hockaday as the new Professional Development Coach.

Hockaday comes into manage City U21's replacing Darren Murray who left the club last week with family reasons given for his departure.

City CEO Steve Waggott said about his appointment: “This is a pivotal role within the club and we are delighted to have Dave on board.

“Dave's vast amount of experience at Academy and first-team level made him the ideal candidate to take on the position, and he is widely respected within the game as a brilliant coach.”

City manager Steve Pressley said: 'I'm delighted to welcome Dave to the football club and looking forward to working alongside him.

 

“Whilst working with the Under 21s, he will also work alongside me and Neil MacFarlane with the first-team throughout the week, and I believe his experience will help bridge the gap between the Under-21s and the first-team.”
