Ryan Haynes has said that he is happy back playing again.

Haynes, was sidelined with a knee injury sustained in a bad challenge by an opponent in City's first pre-season game of the season and has recovered to play thirty minutes for City U23s at QPR and 62 minutes against Bristol City.

The defender, one of City's longest serving players, played the whole of City's 0-0 draw with Colchester United and said: "It is nice to be back out there.

"I put in three months of hard grafting to get back on the pitch. It is frustrating that we have not got the win but that will come. We just have to be patient.

"I think my legs are still out on the pitch somewhere. I'll recover tomorrow though and make sure I am ready to go again next week.

"I am over the moon to be back.

"It has been a long three months. This is my first ninety minute since the injury so that is a major step for me. Hopefully I can push on from here."
