Millwall boss Neil Harris paid tribute to his players during the 2-0 win at Coventry City.

Harris told the Press Association: "Both Lee and Steve may have needed a rest but I listen to them and trust them. Both of them spoke to me separately and said 'don't you dare leave me out'.

"We are on a good run but there is no room for complacency and we know we have to earn every point at this level.

"We've got a competitive squad full of players that want to play and disappointed players when they don't play, but they appreciate that there is competition for places. That is going to be vital if we're going to force our way into the play-offs and stay there.

"I thought the professionalism of all of my players was outstanding and we stood strong.

"It was a battle but the key was the two penalty areas and I thought my centre-halves were outstanding at one end and we were clinical at the right times at the other end.

"I think if we had used the ball slightly better on the counter attack at times we could have been out of sight earlier."
