Coventry City midfielder Conor Thomas has said that he is happy to be back playing again.

Thomas has struggled for a place in the team of late and dropped into the U21's but played against Chesterfield last Sunday due to Jack Finch being rested.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Thomas said: “I just want to be back playing and get as many games under my belt, so it was good to be back.

“I thought I did all right but it’s been a long time since I have played, 11 or 12 weeks so it’s been a while and it felt a bit strange to be honest.

“I’ve been playing in the Under-21s but you can’t replicate the match-day football. I wasn’t expecting to play but pleased to be back in and will just see what happens game to game.”
