The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's final Championship game of the season against Watford on Sunday (1pm kick off) is Mark Halsey from Bolton.

Mr Halsey is making a welcome return this season to refereeing after beating cancer. He took charge of Everton's 6-1 home defeat to Arsenal on the opening day of the Premier League season, a day before being diagnosed with throat cancer. After chemo and radiotherapy, he came back and his first game back was a reserve game between Leicester and Scunthorpe at Hinckley, before taking charge of Port Vale's 2-1 win at Rotherham United.
He has had three further Football League games this season and has shown seven yellow cards and no reds.

Mr Halsey's last City game was the 5-0 home FA Cup defeat to West Brom in February 2008.

Previous games include the 2-0 victory at Manchester United in the League Cup in September 2007, the 1-0 win at Barnsley in October 2006, the 1-0 home defeat to Plymouth in September 2006, the 2-2 home draw with Charlton in February 2001, the 1-0 home win against Everton in March 2000 and the 1-1 away draw at Wimbledon in Aug 1999.

His assistants are Stephen Artis from Norfolk and Rob Pollock from Merseyside. The fourth Official is A. Bates from Staffordshire.
