Giddings On Come Back Trial

Stuart Giddings could be back sometime in the New Year after an operation in America for a knee injury. The left back saw a world leading specialist in Denver and had some fatty tissue removed.

Micky Adams told the CET: Stuart is coming on nicely and we are hoping that we have got to the bottom of his problem. He is doing some fitness work and his rehabilitation is coming on well. We dare not put a timescale on his return because the boy has had so many ups and downs and we are just glad that we have hopefully sorted things out.

"We can't afford to have people sat on the treatment table," Adams continued. "Since I have been at the club,I have seen very little of him. "I think he would have been prominent in the squad had he been fit and we are hopeful that he will progress the way that we would want him to.

"But the important thing for him now is to get himself fit and playing again. We won't be rushing him into the first team."
