Former Coventry City midfielder Gary McSheffrey is on trial with Scunthorpe United.
McSheffrey had been on a short term contract at Chesterfield but that has now ended and the Coventry born player is a free agent once again.
This afternoon, McSheffrey played for Scunthorpe's Reserves against Sheffield Wednesday and scored a hat-trick in a 4-1 win.
