Former Walsgrave Resident In Charge Of City V Burton

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City’s League One game against Burton Albion is Andre Marriner from Sheldon, Birmingham.

A former resident of Walsgrave in Coventry and former goalkeeper who turned to refereeing after picking up a number of injuries, Mr Marriner normally referees Premier League games and this will be his first League One game this season. 

His last City game was the 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest in 2010 and the other two City games he has been in charge of are the 3-2 win at Watford on Tuesday September 29th 2009 amd his only other previous game was the 3-1 win at Stoke City in November 2007.

His assistants are: Matthew Wilkes and Harry Lennard. The Fourth Official is Sebastian Stockbridge.
