Former Coventry City youngster Josh Ruffels has signed a new contract at Oxford United.

Ruffels who was released by City at the end of last season, joined his home town club for this campaign and has done well enough to have been offered a new contract until June 2018.

The twenty year old told Josh told www.oufc.co.uk “I have loved being back at Oxford.

"The whole club is so positive and I look forward to coming in to training every day. I was looking to get a few First Team games this season if I could but the way things have worked out, I have played a lot more than I expected and my game has developed much further in the Oxford United system.

“I am very happy to be part of what the club is trying to build and hopefully we can finish this Season with one last push into the play-off places.”
