Former Coventry City reserve team defender Stuart Wall has been forced to retire.

Wall had suffered a number of injuries and wrote on his Facebook page: "After listening to medical advice from several specialists I have taken the decision to retire from football! It has been a dream since a toddler to be a pro footballer and I fulfilled that!

"Thank you to Coventry City FC and Peterborough United FC for allowing that dream to be realised! Also I enjoyed over 300 games in non league with various clubs but a massive thank you goes to Bedford Town FC, Kings Lynn Town FC and Histon FC where I enjoyed every minute of my football!

"Thanks to the managers, coaches, physios, players and fans I shared those experiences with as it will always be fondly remembered!

"Finally it would not have been possible without my Mum and Dad love you!
