Former Coventry City scout Brian Kerr was celebrating tonight as his Faroe Island side beat Estonia 2-0 in a Euro 2012 Qualifying Group C game.

The side managed by Kerr, who was responsible for bringing Irish players over to Coventry back in the 1990's, won with a Frodi Benjaminsen penalty and an Arnbjorn Hansen goal.

It was the Faroes second win in nine years.

Also tonight, the Republic Of Ireland without former Coventry City forward Robbie Keane and current City keeper Keiren Westwood, put in an excellent performance to beat Italy 2-0 in a friendly in Liege.
