Denise Hendry, suffered an infection similar to meningitis after having an operation in Preston to try to repair some liposuction cosmetic surgery in 2002 which had gone wrong.
She incurred nine punctures to her bowel and colon which led to blood poisoning.
The 42 year old mother of four, had been seriously ill in Salford Royal Hospital for 11 weeks, but passed away today.
