Former Coventry City youngster Gavin Strachan, the son of Scotland manager Gordon, is to work at Doncaster Rovers.
Strachan had been at Ilkeston Town but now has joined Darren Ferguson, who was appointed the new manager of Doncaster Rovers this morning.
The pair worked together at Peterborough United and it is understood that the League One club have paid Ilkeston to secure the services of Strachan, who is rated highly as a coach.
